Walking with Pride: My Illustration Featured in the LGBTQ Foundation’s Rainbow Art Trail

This Pride season, something incredibly special is lighting up Manchester—and I’m beyond excited to be a part of it! 🌈

The LGBTQ Foundation’s Rainbow Art Trail is a gorgeous celebration of queer art and creative expression, marking 50 years of LGBTQ activism and community. From the iconic streets of the Gay Village to spaces that echo with rich, radical history, the trail brings together local queer artists to share our stories through public art.

✨ And guess what? My artwork is featured on the trail!Introducing my vibrant piece: The New Union Rainbow Road—an ode to bold self-expression, queer joy, and the colourful legacy of Canal Street. You can find it inside the New Union Hotel, a cherished space for Manchester’s LGBTQ community for decades. It’s surreal and deeply affirming to see my work shining in a space that holds so much history and heart. And also outside Seesaw a vibrant co-working space in the heart of Manchester. (And at this moment in time exhibiting the wonderful artwork of my good friend Nasha Cash.)

It feels fantastic to be part of the art trail. Even though based in the wonderfully queer diverse Manchester, I definitely feel like I don't give myself enough room to express this side of myself. So being part of this trail feels like an honour. But I’ve always believed that art can uplift, provoke, and connect—and having the opportunity to express my creativity in the queer community, especially in such a meaningful way.

Whether you’re a local or just visiting, the Rainbow Art Trail is a must-see. It’s free, it’s fierce, and it’s a powerful walk through time, colour, and pride.

📍Can’t see it in person? You can still experience the full trail online via the interactive StoryMap:👉 Explore the Rainbow Art Trail Online

Shoutout to the LGBTQ Foundation for curating such a meaningful and inclusive project. This isn’t just an art trail—it’s a celebration of identity, resistance, and radical love through queer creativity. I’m honoured to walk this colourful road with so many brilliant artists who inspire and empower.
